2018 NH EDies Awards

Congratulations to all of the honorees who were celebrated last Saturday night at the New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards (EDies) Dinner. The Shaker Regional School District received three outstanding awards including Middle School of the Year, Middle School Principal of the Year, and School Board of the Year.

Madame Takantjas Named French Teacher of the Year

Belmont High School's Edith (Edee) Takantjas had the honor of being named the French Teacher of the Year through the New Hampshire Franco-American Society.

Keith Noyes Named 2019 NH Teacher Of The Year

Frank Edelblut, the commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Education, announced on Oct. 10, 2018, that Keith Noyes, a fifth grade teacher at Belmont Middle School (BMS) in Belmont, is the 2019 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year. In receiving this award, he becomes New Hampshire�s candidate for National Teacher of the Year. Noyes is entering his 19th year of teaching and his sixth year at BMS.

BES Paving Bid

The Shaker Regional School District is seeking Proposals for the replacement of paving at Belmont Elementary School. Proposals should be separated by the two (2) areas, as outlined on the attached plans, and may be awarded for either, or both. Ideally, the District will replace all of the paving with the exception of the parking spots identified on the attached plans. A mandatory site visit is required and will take place on Friday, April 29, 2019 at 10 am in front of Belmont Elementary School, 26 BEST Street, Belmont N.H. 03220.

BMS Roof Bid

The Shaker Regional school District is seeking Proposals for the installation of asphalt shingle tiles to be applied to the pitched roof section (approximately 24 square) on the front center of Belmont Middle School. A site visit is required and will take place on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm in front of Belmont Middle School at 38 school Street Belmont N.H. 03220.

Belmont High School's Trip to Costa Rica

Pura Vida is the Costa Rican saying for hello, good bye, thank you and more. It represents a way of life, enjoy it! The students had adventures in the dry, coastal, rain and cloud forests and service projects planting trees and giving supplies to students and the one room school house we visited.
