BHS Student takes first place prize at the Concours Vidéo Awards

On Friday, April 22nd, BHS's Madame (Edith) Takantjas attended the Concours Video Awards ceremony for the annual video contest that was sponsored by the Franco-American Centre in Manchester, held at St. Anselm College.  There, it was announced that Andrew Remington won the first place prize of $500 for his video! Euclide Gilbert French Language Foundation Video Contest

Members and friends of the Franco-American Centre are invited to attend the awards ceremony for this year’s video contest.  Attendees will have a chance to view the winning entries.

The challenge of this year’s contest was:

From the fashion world to arts to cuisine, French speaking cultures have had an important influence on the people of North America.

In a 1-2 minute video, present which aspect of French language and/or a francophone culture has had the greatest effect on YOU.  Then, persuade the viewer with at least 3 reasons that aspect is relevant to daily life as a North American
