David Williams, Belmont High School’s new principal, will begin work July 1. Williams is the former principal of York Middle School, Assistant Principal of Newmarket Jr./Sr. High School, and science teacher at Dover Middle School.
Starting with a career in marine science, which led to teaching and ultimately administration, Williams is a visionary and transformational school leader who brings with him a hands-on approach and strong instructional leadership. He received a degree in Biology from Westfield State College and a master’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of New Hampshire.
Chosen from a pool of qualified candidates, Williams is committed to fostering a school environment that values a student-centered approach, community involvement, and authentic learning experiences for all students. Williams said that he is excited to put his energy and talents to work for the students, faculty, and community of Belmont High School and the Shaker Regional School District.
