The Shaker Regional School District recognizes the valuable contribution made to the school program through the volunteer efforts of parents and other community members. Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact the principal of the school for which you wish to volunteer.
Anyone who volunteers in the Shaker Regional School District must complete an annual volunteer affidavit. A criminal background check including obtaining the results of district processed fingerprinting is also required. This must be completed prior to the beginning of any volunteer event or activity. (Fingerprinting does not need to be completed annually)
If you plan to coach a team, chaperone a field trip, work on a school-wide activity or help in the classroom anytime during the upcoming school year you should plan on taking advantage of one of these fingerprinting clinics.
Please note that it may take up to four weeks for the fingerprints to be processed. Volunteers cannot begin until the background check is completed.
